Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud architectures for Continental's Engineering applications to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure following Continental's IT EA and Conti standards for Service and Application Architecture.
  • Research and validate the latest cloud technologies, components, and tools to support current and future Engineering Applications.
  • Design and implement proof of concepts using components from AWS, Azure, and other cloud suppliers.
  • Coordinate IT and business requests with stakeholders through DevOps processes.
  • Support the rollout and version upgrades of Agile/CI Applications hosted in AWS Conti VPCs.
  • Understand and adhere to Continental's R&D and IT processes.
  • Collaborate with a global team from diverse time zones and cultures.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master's degree in Information Technology or equivalent qualification.
  • Several years of hands-on experience in an IT organization or cloud-based organization.
  • Hands-on experience with Continental's Cloud Governance Framework.
  • Deep knowledge of JAZZ and ELM environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of at least one cloud computing vendor (AWS).
  • Deep understanding of cloud and on-prem technology and services.
  • Execution and contribution to Continental's Cloud Governance Framework.
  • Basic understanding of cloud-based service models and deployment models.
  • Knowledge of SAFe and SCRUM, particularly the used approach for A IT EA.
  • Understanding of IT process terminology and related statements/documentation/references.
  • Fluent English and basic German skills (written and spoken).
  • Ability to align, organize, and plan activities and tasks in an Agile manner for and with the global team.
