Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to join our PHOENIX Corporate IT team in Mannheim or Fürth. As a key member of our Network Security Team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and running secure connectivity and security solutions across our European operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure network solutions for our internal customers
- Develop and maintain Cisco-based Site LAN and Wifi services for our European customers
- Collaborate with partners to implement new network and security solutions
- Ensure the availability of delivered solutions through on-call duty and occasional work outside regular business hours
- Consult with internal customers to identify their requirements and create tailored solutions
Requirements
- Apprenticeship or study in IT system integration or a related field
- Profound knowledge of Cisco switching and routing, as well as Cisco and/or Extreme Network Wifi
- Experience in operating Cisco Catalyst systems with Dot.1x
- Efficient, structured, and customer-oriented work style, especially in critical situations
- Strong analytical skills and ability to create sustained solutions through documentation and sharing
- Business and technical English skills, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in German language is desirable
