At AMBOSS, we are seeking a Lead Frontend Developer to join our team. Our engineers play a crucial role in enhancing the user experience for healthcare professionals and students, enabling them to make informed decisions that affect the health of millions globally. We are in search of an individual who is passionate about leveraging technology and guiding teams towards engineering excellence. In your first year, you will:
  • Take ownership of user-facing front-end solutions within the LEAR domain.
  • Lead efforts to enhance code quality, adopt new technologies, and improve existing systems for better performance and scalability.
  • Provide strategic insights to product and engineering managers on reducing technical debt and expediting the delivery of user-facing features.
  • Share your expertise within the AMBOSS frontend community, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure frontend development aligns with product strategy and user experience objectives.
  • Promote best practices in code quality, testing, and maintainability.
What you will bring:
  • Extensive experience with React, Typescript, and GraphQL (or other modern frontend frameworks).
  • Experience with Design System Libraries.
  • Proven track record of building projects from the ground up, as well as maintaining existing codebases.
  • A DevOps mindset: familiarity with setting up CI/CD pipelines and deploying code.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders and enhance engineering practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
