About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Machine Design Specialist to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY GERMANY AG. As a key member of our global technology team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and market introduction of Industrial & Speciality (I&S) Transformers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Drive and complete activities related to the introduction of new features and technology within the I&S Transformer product line, focusing on Rectifiers.
  • Support design, production, and testing of Transformers.
  • Collect requirements and define specifications for new features and improvements of the global design platform.
  • Closely cooperate with factories and global functions during pilot project execution.
  • Assist in the transfer of technology projects across factories.
  • Support the product platform with the creation of new and updated technical standards, methods, and reports.
  • Provide technology and technical training to designers and expertise support to engineering teams.

Your Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in designing electrical machines, with a strong preference for experience in transformer design within power transformer technology, especially railway and rectifier transformers.
  • Skills in field simulations (2D and 3D magnetic simulations) are an advantage.
  • Project Management experience is an advantage.
  • Design Tools owner competencies within Agile methodology and involvement in software design tool development are advantages.
  • Willingness to work in a remote and diverse environment.
  • Willingness to travel to factories when needed.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent English and experience with writing technical papers and/or reports.
