About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer to join our team at Becker Marine Systems. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and supervising repairs and maintenance tasks on our marine equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of our marine equipment to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Commission and dismantle rudders, ensuring all components are properly installed and functioning correctly.
  • Provide machining instructions for various interfaces, ensuring accurate and precise results.
  • Write detailed service reports in English, creating work assignments and recommendations for future improvements.
  • Travel extensively for short or extended periods to support our global operations.

Requirements:

  • Technical education in mechanics or hydraulics, with a strong understanding of marine equipment and systems.
  • Proven experience in welding, cutting, and bending, with a willingness to make decisions and take initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to create clear and concise reports.
  • Ability to travel frequently, with a flexible approach to work assignments and schedules.
  • Experience in the maritime field service industry is highly desirable.
