We are currently seeking a Procurement Specialist (m/w/d) for our Business Unit focused on Air Treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulating and executing innovative procurement strategies that align with Ingersoll Rand's sourcing objectives for direct materials.
- Identifying and engaging high-performing suppliers to deliver exceptional value.
- Overseeing a portfolio of suppliers for direct materials.
- Conducting sourcing and contract negotiations with suppliers.
- Leading negotiations to secure optimal commercial terms while ensuring compliance with Ingersoll Rand's standards.
- Establishing and nurturing long-term relationships with strategic suppliers while actively seeking new, top-tier vendors.
- Compiling procurement reports and key performance indicators, alongside conducting cost analyses and supplier benchmarks.
- Managing supplier escalations related to on-time delivery, capacity, pricing, and compliance issues.
- Developing risk management strategies for suppliers based on comprehensive risk assessments.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers regarding cost, quality, on-time delivery, service, flexibility, innovation, and compliance.
- Monitoring and assessing supplier performance regularly.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Logistics, Material Planning, Finance, Engineering, Legal, and other global procurement professionals.
- Coordinating with Accounts Payable and Receiving departments to resolve any invoicing and receiving discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within the industrial sector at a managerial or senior buyer level.
- Relevant degree in a related field.
- Expertise in contracting, pricing, and supply chain strategies.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, and operational excellence principles.
- Demonstrated experience working with outsourced manufacturing suppliers and procurement teams to resolve issues, implement VMI/SOMI, and manage quality processes.
- Track record of success in supplier management, cost reduction, and inventory control.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong foundation in procurement-related technical knowledge.
- Proficient in strategic sourcing processes and supplier relationship management.
- Strong business acumen and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to foster excellent working relationships both internally and externally.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Dutch, German, or Italian is a plus.
