We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at PEAG Personal GmbH, a leading company in Wickede an der Ruhr. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing group procurement activities, acting as a liaison between internal stakeholders, and optimizing procurement processes and digitalization efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee group procurement activities independently, ensuring efficient and effective procurement processes.
  • Act as a link between internal stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration to achieve business objectives.
  • Optimize procurement processes and digitalization efforts, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Select, qualify, and assess existing and new suppliers, as well as market observations, to ensure the best possible outcomes for the company.
  • Enhance and optimize existing supplier relationships amid market changes, building strong partnerships to drive business success.
  • Monitor supply chains and practice active risk management, identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Lead price and contract negotiations for primary product groups, identifying cost-saving opportunities and negotiating favorable terms.
  • Develop and implement strategic directions for product groups, aligning procurement strategies with business objectives.
  • Execute various procurement projects, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver results.

Requirements:

  • Degree in business or technical field with a focus on procurement, such as Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
  • Experience in procurement/supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Negotiation skills, teamwork, and strong communication abilities, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Independent, structured, and precise work ethic, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in English, MS Office tools, and Microsoft Dynamics NAV, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
