Objective

Are you passionate about enhancing reporting and analytical capabilities to foster transparency and visibility within the supply chain domain? Do you have a knack for utilizing SQL to tackle essential management queries and provide business insights that drive decision-making? If you are an analyst with experience in front-end visualization and are keen to make a significant impact on the adidas supply chain, this role is tailored for you.

As a vital member of the Supply Chain Intelligence team, we are in search of a seasoned Senior Manager of Supply Chain Business Intelligence to:

  • Establish data transparency on key performance indicators in the most automated manner.
  • Facilitate harmonization across various markets.
  • Pinpoint opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Ensure that all pertinent metrics are developed and reported in a format and frequency that aligns with business needs.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to cultivate productive cross-functional relationships to better comprehend and address business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Definition

  • Oversee initiatives to enhance visibility with relevant teams by defining problems, formulating hypotheses, and gathering and analyzing data.
  • Convert business requests and needs into comprehensive business and technical requirements.
  • Produce detailed and current documentation.

Reporting

  • Develop and enhance reporting capabilities (design, development & improvement), ensuring standardization, harmonization, and scalable solutions with rapid and efficient data.
  • Utilize appropriate tools (e.g., SQL) to analyze data and visualize it using platforms such as MicroStrategy or Power BI.
  • Investigate insights and trends to identify enhancements to business performance and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence reporting teams to create thorough analyses of key KPIs and derive actionable insights that identify root causes.
  • Recognize, interpret, and communicate patterns and trends (including benchmarks) related to key business drivers, transforming insights into actionable recommendations for key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate improvements in data management with relevant stakeholders to ensure maximum efficiency and maintain a single version of truth (data accuracy & source integrity).
  • Lead communication and training associated with new tools and processes for relevant stakeholders and departments.
  • Serve as the point of contact for reporting testing prior to new releases.
  • Manage the demand intake process to capture new requirements through close and regular interaction with SCM markets.
  • Organize, coordinate, and actively contribute to defining and executing user acceptance tests for newly developed reporting capabilities.
  • Drive change management of newly developed reporting capabilities to SCM Markets and relevant stakeholders.

Consulting

  • Proactively review and identify reporting requirements with the management team.
  • Conduct regular analyses of operational reporting and define areas for improvement with actionable insights.
  • Engage with other BPMs from various SCM functions to capture systems and process changes.
  • Manage interdependencies between projects and ensure that suitable timelines are maintained for projects and process enhancements.

  • Proficient in database concepts with a solid working knowledge of ERP Systems (preferably SAP S/4 HANA).
  • Hands-on experience with front-end visualization software such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes.
  • Ability to comprehend and design data into efficient reporting to enhance business decisions.
  • Capable of managing and participating in Reporting & Analytics projects as assigned.
  • Good knowledge of agile project management principles and methodologies.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain management or related fields such as business administration, logistics, planning, or information systems from an accredited institution.
  2. 6+ years of experience in supply chain management or retail operations.
  3. Experience in process (re-)design and data analytics, preferably with a background in SC Reporting & Analytics.
  4. Strong understanding of supply chain principles and operational practices, logistics terminology, basic finance, and management of cross-functional interdependencies.
