About the Role

CDP Worldwide (Europe) gemeinnützige GmbH is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Engagement Specialist to join our team in Berlin, Germany. As a key member of our Europe team, you will play a crucial role in engaging with European companies to reduce their environmental impact and promote sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies to motivate companies to disclose their environmental data and progress towards environmental leadership;
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including company representatives, NGOs, and government agencies;
  • Provide technical support and guidance to companies on environmental management, reporting, and membership programs;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement engagement materials, events, and campaigns;
  • Contribute to the development of CDP's Europe strategy and goals;
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in corporate sustainability and environmental management;
  • Represent CDP at external events and meetings;
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate sustainability, environmental management, or a related field;
  • Strong understanding of environmental management systems, reporting, and disclosure;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Fluency in English and German (written and spoken);
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems;
  • Ability to travel occasionally within Europe.
