Key Responsibilities
- Creating innovative risk assessment models and refining existing frameworks to support credit evaluations, ensuring a balance between risk management and customer satisfaction.
- Guaranteeing compliance with organizational policies and standards throughout the model development and implementation phases.
- Assessing, analyzing, and reporting on model efficacy, performing gap analyses, risk evaluations, and implementing mitigation strategies, while maintaining comprehensive documentation for transparency.
- Collaborating effectively with various risk modeling teams and acting as a primary contact for regulatory bodies and auditors regarding model-related inquiries.
Candidate Profile
- Master's degree in fields such as statistics, economics, engineering, finance, or mathematics; a PhD is advantageous.
- Proven experience in credit risk modeling or model validation within the financial sector.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning methodologies, including regression, classification, clustering, and ensemble techniques.
- Experience with both supervised and unsupervised learning, applying machine learning to solve practical challenges.
- Expertise in model development, data preprocessing, variable selection, and logistic/linear modeling.
- Proficient in Python and other analytical software such as SQL.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, motivational skills, and effective communication, with a proactive approach.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of German is a plus.
