Position: Network Implementation Engineer

1&1 Versatel is seeking a proficient Network Implementation Engineer to enhance our operations. In this role, you will be tasked with the design, configuration, and deployment of network infrastructures tailored to our clientele's needs. Additionally, you will engage in ongoing maintenance and meticulous documentation of network systems and data transmissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop relocation strategies for customer equipment and system engineering related to site transitions
  • Prepare, configure, and deploy components within the data network
  • Coordinate and execute maintenance tasks during site transitions, network enhancements, or redesigns
  • Remove outdated technology
  • Maintain accurate records of data and transmission networks in proprietary databases
  • Provide telephonic support during system commissioning
  • Assist in major disruptions to restore network operations by constructing active network nodes as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in computer science, telecommunications, or a relevant technical qualification
  • Strong understanding of data networks, including Routing and Switching, particularly with Cisco, Juniper, and Huawei
  • Certifications such as Cisco CCNA are beneficial
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Fluent in German (minimum Level C1) and English (minimum Level B1)
  • Collaborative mindset, adaptability, ability to work autonomously, and a desire to learn new technologies
