About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our team at leonardo. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining our software solutions to deliver critical impact data to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a growing development team, providing coaching and guidance to ensure the team's overall skill level is upgraded
  • Make key technical and architectural decisions to ensure high standards of security, efficiency, and scalability
  • Develop and maintain the leonardo web application, ensuring it meets current and future business needs
  • Perform code reviews and ensure best practices and high code quality are maintained
  • Research and recommend new technologies to meet business requirements
  • Optimize code and algorithms to boost performance
  • Setup and optimize DevOps processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to provide technical feedback
  • Deploy ML models and collaborate with the Product, Design, and ML teams to provide estimates and inputs on feature difficulty and limitations
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in software development
  • Experience in leading, hiring, and mentoring a development team
  • Advanced knowledge in TypeScript, Test Driven Development, DevOps, and AWS Services
  • Experience with both monolith and microservices architectures
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Comfortable communicating ideas or deliverables to the team and clients
  • Bonus: Familiarity with MLOps, particularly experience with pipelines that require large language models or computer vision
