We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) in Magdeburg. The successful candidate will be part of the Research Group "Molecular Neuroplasticity" and contribute to our research on optogenetics, two-photon Ca2+ imaging, and electrophysiology to study neuronal activity and neural circuits.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and conduct experiments using optogenetics, two-photon imaging, and electrophysiology to investigate neural circuits and epilepsy.
- Develop and implement new methods for data analysis and visualization.
- Collaborate with the research team to achieve project goals and publish research findings in high-level scientific journals.
- Contribute to the preparation of animal experimentation requests and ensure compliance with German regulations.
- Participate in the development of independent research priorities and apply for funding opportunities.
- Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Neurobiology, or a related field.
- Experience in two-photon imaging, optogenetics, and electrophysiology.
- Strong programming skills and experience with data analysis software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
