About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team in Munich or Hamburg. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining terminal-based time and attendance functions for our enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement communication between hardware terminals and business applications
  • Develop innovative solutions aligned with real customer needs
  • Participate in an English-speaking team of experts from software development, product management, customer service, and quality assurance
  • Work closely with colleagues in development teams in Timișoara, Hamburg, and Munich
  • Analyze requirements and develop technical concepts
  • Program, test, and document new features
  • Further develop existing features and fix bugs
  • Ensure software quality and compliance with development standards
Requirements
  • Completed studies in computer science
  • Several years of experience in software development, Java programming, and cloud technologies
  • Good knowledge of relevant programming languages and frameworks (e.g. Java 17, Spring Boot, Docker, Gitlab, Eclipse, SQL, and Liquibase)
  • At least basic experience with network programming (Sockets, TCP/IP)
  • Affinity for dealing with hardware and communication protocols
  • Ideal experience with agile development methodologies (e.g. Scrum)
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team and good communication skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
