Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our product development team. As a key member of our backend team, you will play a crucial role in building the essential components of our platform, ensuring its robustness and scalability for deployment in municipalities worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop a Spring-based application with a microservice architecture
- Adhere to the architecture and follow industry standards and best practices
- Coordinate API contracts with other teams (mobile & web)
- Ensure smooth backend deployment and process (gitlab ci/cd)
- Collaborate with the technical architect, test team, front-end, and UI teams for product feature delivery
- Conduct code reviews and maintain code quality
- Participate in agile development process and coordinate with other backend developers
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a backend engineer
- Previous experience working remotely
- Strong software design skills
- Strong algorithmic skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Excellent English speaking skills (writing and verbal)
- EU Timezone Candidates (CET +/- 2)
- Experience with WebFlux, RxJava
- PhD in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Streaming technologies such as Kafka
- Experience with payment gateways such as Stripe
- Experience with routing algorithms
- Experience building SaaS products
- Experience in building products that are powered by big-data
