Janitor

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and visitors.

• Maintain a specified area orderly and clean following general instructions.
• Set up own schedule and sequence of tasks within the framework of a general schedule.
• Vacuum clean rugs and drapes.
• Sweep, mop, strip, scrub, wax, and polish floors using heavy industrial powered equipment.
• Adjust, oil, change buffers, brushes, rollers, and other attachments on these machines.
• Wash and replace venetian blinds, ceiling fixtures, and room partitions using ladders and scaffolds.
• Remove stains from various surfaces using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• Move heavy furniture.
• Wash and clean windows inside and outside of buildings using ladders, scaffolds, and safety belts.
• Inspect and keep safety belts in good condition.

• No specific experience or education required.
• Applicant must be able to perform duties under guidance after a short period of on-the-job instructions.
• English Language Proficiency level A1 and German Language Proficiency level B1 required.

Working on weekends, holidays, and shift work (daytime shift) required.

• 30 days of annual leave; 36 days for severely handicapped employees.
