About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Ascend Advanced Therapies. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing diverse projects to support advanced therapy development.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Serve as the key contact for matrix teams and stakeholders from initial project scoping through to final handover in close collaboration with the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO).
  • Service Continuity: Ensure seamless service continuity and promote integration across Ascend's sites and departments.
  • Project Execution: Implement and execute best project management practices for all activities.
  • Project Planning: Establish, document, track, and communicate timelines, objectives, deliverables, and budgets.
  • Project Prioritization: Coordinate and prioritize multiple parallel projects.
  • Problem-Solving: Facilitate problem-solving, contingency planning, and decision-making.
  • Strategy Alignment: Align strategy with operational activities.
  • Communication: Coordinate cross-functional communication and integration.
  • Business Development: Support business development by generating proposals and identifying opportunities to expand services for existing clients.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build productive relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Program Execution: Ensure timely design and execution of programs to meet stakeholders' needs.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum BSc or equivalent in Biological Sciences, Bioengineering, or a related discipline.
  • Certification: PMP or equivalent certification is advantageous, but a demonstrated track record of successful delivery is essential.
  • Experience: Experience managing development relationships and projects.
  • CDMO-Client Relationships: Experience managing CDMO-client relationships is an advantage.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of US/EU regulatory requirements is a nice to have.
  • Interpersonal and Organizational Skills: Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is a must, German language skills are a plus.
  • Operational Environment: Ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary corporate environment.
  • Critical Path and Prioritization: Understanding of critical path and rapid prioritization capabilities.
