Sea Freight Export Coordinator

Altius Talent is seeking a skilled and experienced Freight Forwarding Operator to join our team in Düsseldorf. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in sea export operations and will be fluent in both German and English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of sea freight export shipments from booking to final delivery.
- Handle full documentation process including Bills of Lading, customs documentation, and other necessary paperwork.
- Liaise with shipping lines, customers, and overseas agents to ensure smooth and timely cargo movements.
- Provide excellent customer service by keeping clients informed of shipment status and addressing any issues or delays.
- Prepare and process invoices, ensuring all costs are accurately billed and accounted for.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.
- Track and trace shipments, providing regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales and operations, to optimize service delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the export process.
- Maintain and update shipment records in the company's logistics management system.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sea freight export operations.
- Fluency in German and English is required (both written and spoken).
- Relevant qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field are preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with freight forwarding software.
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, Incoterms, and export documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
