Overview:
The Finance Operations Business Partnering (BP) team is in search of a Finance Manager (m/f/d) who will play a crucial role within the global Retail BP team.
This position is based in Munich and focuses on providing essential business support for managing finance operations related to order-to-cash (O2C) processes.
Our team is dedicated to minimizing and eliminating defects within the O2C process that affect both customers and vendors. We strive for global enhancements through technology and collaboration with various teams to define, design, and prioritize improvements in the ordering, fulfillment, billing collection, and dispute resolution processes with vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be an integral member of a team of high-performing operations excellence and finance professionals tasked with driving upstream systems and process initiatives that enhance the quality and accuracy of data for vendor billing.
We seek an experienced Finance/Program Manager to collaborate with our upstream business and technical teams to:
- Drive Program Objectives: Provide program management to outline project plans, oversee implementation activities, and develop processes, documentation, and communications for program/process rollout and ongoing support.
- Scale Services and Tools: Design processes and procedures that can adapt to the business's growth in volume, complexity, and global reach.
- Define Key Performance Indicators: Establish metrics and service level agreements for core programs and processes, tracking delivery against program objectives.
- Collaborate Globally: Build relationships with system and business owners worldwide to ensure process excellence and the highest level of controllership.
- Negotiate Efficient Processes: Work across partner teams to systematically eliminate dependencies and defects.
- Cross-Organizational Collaboration: Identify key opportunities in processes, technical, and human interfaces, developing and implementing plans to leverage those opportunities while measuring and monitoring success and impacts.
Basic Qualifications:
- Proven experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
- Demonstrated ability in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making.
- Experience in creating process improvements through automation and analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in business economics, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, information technology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a matrixed environment, influencing strategy, and achieving goals through cross-organizational collaboration.
- Ability to identify incomplete or inaccurate data, determine root causes, and create/implement escalation plans.
- Experience engaging with senior staff (e.g., C-suite).
- Familiarity with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, or Cognos) and providing recommendations based on ad hoc analyses for strategic decision-making.
