Role Summary:
The Certified Electro-Mechanical Technician (CEMT) will leverage extensive knowledge and hands-on experience to execute a diverse range of technical functions. These functions will support engineering processes, quality assurance, calibration, and manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assembly, disassembly, reassembly, and inspection of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems, including chassis and printed circuit boards.
- Assist in testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of electromechanical and mechanical equipment.
- Perform surface coating of parts and assemblies with protective materials as required.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a technical capacity.
- Proficiency in operating machine tools such as drill presses and grinders.
- Experience in electronic and mechanical tasks, with the ability to interpret schematic drawings and modification documents.
- The capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance, with U.S. citizenship being a prerequisite.
Preferred Skills:
- One year of experience in electronic and mechanical tasks.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures.
- Experience with static sensitive handling techniques.
- Familiarity with Patriot Major End Items or other air defense systems.
- Experience in painting and soldering/welding certifications.
- Experience with wire wrapping techniques.
Educational Requirements:
A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience unless otherwise dictated by local regulations.
