Job Title: Senior Control System Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Control System Engineer to join our team at Nikon SLM Solutions AG. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex control systems for our additive manufacturing machines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop control systems for our Selective Laser Melting machines
  • Collaborate with software architects to implement control system concepts in software
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems with other machine components
  • Develop and maintain system documentation and technical specifications
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies and innovations in control systems
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, aerospace), medical technology, automation technology, or comparable field
  • 6+ years of experience in system design of complex control systems in the industrial, automotive, medical, or aerospace sector
  • Experience with systems engineering principles, including V-model process, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methods, validation & verification principles
  • Experience with systems engineering development environments, such as ALM for requirements management and configuration control, SysML or Matlab
  • Basic knowledge of electrical engineering and software development; programming skills in Python are a plus
