Position: Business Controller for EssilorLuxottica Germany (f/m/d)
Role Overview:
The Business Controller acts as a strategic partner to the head of controlling and finance director, providing insights and influencing operational decision-making for entities within the DACH region. The focus is on planning, coordinating, and executing daily tasks while delivering decision-relevant insights through data-driven analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
General duties include:
- Managing the budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and budget presentations.
- Conducting in-depth analyses for a comprehensive understanding of sales variances and reviewing sales contracts.
- Overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- As a business partner, ensuring high-quality service delivery while collaborating with Marketing, Sales, and other departments to identify opportunities and concerns.
- Developing and maintaining reports on key operational and financial performance indicators for informed decision-making, alongside ad-hoc reporting.
- Offering recommendations and guidance to achieve financial objectives and drive growth.
- Analyzing and presenting monthly results to management.
- Driving continuous improvement and digitalization of processes and analytical tools in collaboration with corporate and shared service centers (SAP, BI, Hyperion).

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Financial Studies or Business Administration with a focus on Finance/Auditing.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with a solid background in financial analysis and accounting practices.
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, along with experience managing multiple entities.
- Proficiency in Excel, capable of generating various reports from ERP data extractions.
- Fluency in English and German is required.
