About the Role

As a Working Student Data Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and evaluating centralized orchestration of internal reports and data pipelines. You will work closely with our team to implement batch and event pipelines, and collaborate on architecture development in Hanover.

Your Responsibilities
  • Test and evaluate centralized orchestration of internal reports and data pipelines
  • Implement batch and event pipelines
  • Collaborate on architecture development in Hanover
  • Evaluate different orchestration tools on a Python and cloud infrastructure
  • Compare tools with a focus on costs, benefits, and scalability
  • Impact analysis on existing processes

Requirements
  • Advanced stage of a degree in computer science or business IT
  • Proficient user skills in Python and SQL
  • Knowledge of data integration from APIs, databases, flat files, and event streaming
  • Interest in working with different orchestration tools
  • Motivation to familiarize yourself with new topics and be involved from the start
  • Proficient user skills in German and English
