Your Role

Position Overview: Data Security Manager (m/f/d)

We are seeking a dedicated manager to implement essential measures ensuring that BuildingMinds remains compliant with relevant data protection regulations. You will also oversee the documentation and management of information security management system standards. Reporting directly to our management, you will coordinate activities related to compliance with applicable laws (e.g., GDPR) and data security standards (e.g., ISO 27001).

You will serve as a key contact for all internal stakeholders involved in data privacy and security matters. Collaborating closely with our Information Security Officer, you will develop policies that enforce compliance with relevant legislation and provide training to enhance staff awareness of data protection and security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain comprehensive records of data processing activities.
  • Ensure thorough documentation in alignment with data protection laws and standards.
  • Develop, monitor, audit, and improve processes and procedures necessary for compliance with evolving data protection laws and standards.
  • Identify and assess BuildingMinds' data processing activities.
  • Conduct gap analyses and prepare compliance reports.
  • Address inquiries from data subjects within the legally mandated timeframes.
  • Deliver training on data protection and security to staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields.
  • Proficient in English and German.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various management levels and stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of data protection laws (e.g., GDPR) and relevant standards.
  • At least 2 years of practical experience in data protection and security, focusing on documentation and ISO 27001 certification.
  • Familiarity with data processing operations in the real estate sector is a plus.
  • Knowledge of computer security systems.
  • Demonstrated integrity and high ethical standards.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and quick to learn.
  • A collaborative team player with a business-oriented mindset.
