Treasury Manager

About the Role:

The Treasury Manager will play a critical role in managing adidas' liquidity, solvency, and financial market risks. This position will be responsible for overseeing the company's daily global cash position, managing funding activities and banking relationships, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze cash flow forecasts of selected group entities to identify potential funding needs and liquidity situations.
  • Analyze and select the most suitable funding instruments to meet the company's financial needs.
  • Arrange funding for subsidiaries through external and intercompany loans, intercompany payment terms, and netting balances.
  • Review and negotiate financing documentation with banks, including credit facility agreements.
  • Handle the process of issuing bank and parental guarantees, including reviewing and negotiating relevant documentation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with core banking partners, respond to Know Your Customer (KYC) inquiries, and support funding and business discussions.
  • Support processes, tasks, and projects related to Corporate Treasury, including Treasury digitization initiatives.
  • Manage medium-sized projects and actively participate in larger projects, implementing findings and ensuring sustainability of achievements.
  • Design and implement advanced analytic tools and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive business decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Corporate Treasury.
  • Identify areas for improvement through variance analysis, develop solutions, and facilitate related decisions.
  • Manage and execute reporting and ad-hoc analysis to ensure accurate financial information.
  • Take ownership of related actions to ensure smooth operation of the business.
  • Provide expertise and support to team members and business partners on assigned functional areas and systems.
  • Enable fact-based decision-making by creating transparency on forecasts.
  • Ensure adherence to adidas' Treasury Policy.

  • Corporate Treasury and HQ Finance teams.
  • Other Corporate Functions, such as IT, Accounting, Controlling, and Global Business Services (GBS).
  • Internal auditors.
  • Project Teams.
  • External advisors and external auditors.
  • Industry organizations and peers.
  • Financial institutions (banks).

Requirements:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Controlling, or equivalent background in related fields.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of working experience in related fields.
  • CFA level 1 or equivalent skills.
  • Strong expertise in treasury systems.
  • Business fluency in English (written and spoken).
