About the Job

Landeshauptstadt Kiel is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Full-Day Care Support Staff Member. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children and youth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster and promote individualized support for students.
  • Develop and enhance social competencies.
  • Be responsible for educational and personal development.
  • Support the integration of diverse groups of people (e.g., students with different learning needs).
  • Lead and conduct educational group activities (e.g., sports, music, and creative activities).
  • Accompany a learning group during school hours (e.g., during lunchtime).
  • Organize leisure activities during school breaks.

Requirements

  • Qualification: You hold a recognized qualification as a teacher, educator, or social worker.
  • Alternatively, you may have a qualification as a child care worker or social pedagogical assistant, which will be recognized and evaluated accordingly.
  • Experience: You have at least 2 years of experience working with children and/or youth.
  • Health Certificate: If born after 1970, please provide proof of measles vaccination.

Additional Information

  • You will receive a monthly supplementary allowance of €130.00 (full-time employment).
  • The positions are not further divisible.
  • Working hours will be determined by the school's concept and scheduled in a duty roster. The main focus will be on afternoon and evening hours, including possible flexible hours between 07:00 and 17:00 hours. Vacation time must be taken during school breaks. If no assignment is made during school breaks, underutilized time during school hours will be compensated through additional working hours or a corresponding reduction in pay.
  • Upon meeting the personal requirements, you may be eligible for classification up to EG S 8a.
