We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team at Trivium Packaging Germany GmbH | Werk Wedel. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Provide Training and Guidance: Train employees on safety procedures and provide guidance on how to report incidents and near-misses.
- Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with production, maintenance, and other teams to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of our operations.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Regulatory Requirements: Monitor and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to occupational health and safety.
- Degree in a Relevant Field: Bachelor's degree in a field such as occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications and Experience: Certified Safety Specialist (CSS) or equivalent certification, and prior experience as a safety officer or in a related role.
- Strong Communication and Analytical Skills: Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Fluency in English: Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
