About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our team at NORMA Group. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for selling and promoting our products, systems, and services to new and existing customers in the EMEA markets, with a focus on the DACH region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve assigned revenue targets by selling our complete line of solutions and services to accounts in the relevant industry, taking into account our sales policy and approved cost budget.
  • Investigate and understand the internal business processes of existing and potential clients, and build relationships with engineering decision makers and departmental managers.
  • Conduct year-end closing and other business-related negotiations, as necessary, in collaboration with the team leader and area sales management.
  • Prepare and conduct year-to-year price negotiations in close cooperation with Area Sales Management and Customer Coordination, and document negotiation results.
  • Complete monthly forecasting, monitor results, and direct customer business by utilizing all relevant functionalities (logistics, controlling, credit management) to successfully steer the entire business process from order to cash.
  • Arrange yearly budgets and marketing strategies in coordination with key account management and area sales management.
  • Implement company targets oriented at the defined objectives of the Norma Balanced Scorecard and 30+ Marketing Strategy goals independently.
  • Perform sales analyses and reporting.
  • Frequent travel is required to be present with customers and NORMA plants.
Requirements
  • Engineering or commercial graduate with a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or sales-related activities, with at least 3 years in the Automotive and/or Energy Industries sector.
  • High affinity to engineering topics and strong knowledge of industry-specific solutions, development processes, and service provision, as well as a track record in high-margin deal making and excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Strong customer focus and commercial acumen.
  • Detail-oriented, able to work independently, resourceful, and able to create solutions in an ambiguous environment, deadline-driven, and able to deliver results even under heavy workload, flexible, reliable, and a team player.
  • Skilled in continuous monitoring and strategic evaluation of the development of industrial products and markets, particularly in the Automotive and/or Energy Industries OEM and Tiers.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English (C1+, non-negotiable) and ideally French.
  • Unique sense of topics related to new energy.
Preferred Background
  • Experience in a similar role in an enterprise organization is preferred but not required.
Travel Requirements
  • 75% travel required.
