Join a pioneering global ecommerce platform that is transforming the shopping and selling experience for millions worldwide. eBay is establishing a new engineering center and is in search of a Senior Software Architect to spearhead the Identity team, foster architectural advancements, and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
Role and Team Dynamics:
This position entails the formation of new engineering teams focused on payments and Identity at our office. As a Senior Software Architect, you will influence technical strategies, mentor less experienced team members, and design software architecture that aligns with future demands in Identity and Access Management (IAM).
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple teams, mentor junior staff, and drive architectural strategies in Identity.
- Convert product specifications into robust software architecture.
- Keep abreast of IAM regulations and engage with standardization organizations.
- Create back-end web applications utilizing Java/Spring Boot.
- Guarantee high-quality software delivery through CI/CD processes, testing, and documentation.
- Manage projects from conception to deployment and ongoing support.
- Develop expertise in Identity and Payments at eBay.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with a decade of IAM experience.
- Proficient in designing scalable software architectures and web applications.
- Extensive knowledge of IAM frameworks such as OAuth, SAML, and OpenID Connect.
- Skilled in back-end development with Java/Spring Boot.
- Experience with cloud-based IAM solutions (AWS, GCP) is advantageous.
- Expected to be present in the office three days per week on average.
