We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Materna Information & Communications SE. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing high-performance data processing systems for the public sector, including administration, individual healthcare, mobility, energy and resource efficiency, and security.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop high-performance data processing systems for the public sector, including data spaces, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- Collaborate with agile teams to build and implement data-driven solutions.
- Develop and implement customer-specific solutions, including proof of concepts and technical realization.
- Contribute to the development of future-proof data ecosystems that support critical business processes in the public sector.
- Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science with a focus on Data Engineering, Big Data Processing, or MLOps.
- Several years of experience in developing high-performance systems for mass data processing and data platforms, with a strong background in the public sector, mobility, healthcare, or industry.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar.
- Experience with open-source tools for building automated data processing workflows, such as Apache Kafka, OpenAPI, Swagger, Apache Hadoop, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Hive, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Knowledge of microservices, cloud, big data technologies, AI, machine learning, or database technologies is an asset.
- Excellent German (C1) and good English (B2) language skills in writing and speaking.
