Expert in Emissions-Reduced Gas Infrastructure

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team at EWE NETZ GmbH as an Expert in Emissions-Reduced Gas Infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our gas infrastructure and contributing to our mission of providing reliable and sustainable energy solutions to our regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement measurement concepts for the mandatory collection of methane emissions from EWE NETZ
  • Create technical concepts and specifications for the necessary measurement procedures and equipment
  • Evaluate the measured results and ensure the required data quality
  • Collaborate with the team to develop processes for data collection and processing, and establish a comprehensive reporting system
  • Assess and plan technical measures with the operations experts to reduce emissions in the gas infrastructure, including the introduction and optimization of work processes in the regional service
  • Develop new internal guidelines and support the adaptation of existing guidelines, as well as the introduction and optimization of work processes in the network regions
  • Identify resource requirements and support the procurement of materials, services, and personnel
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external parties (other corporate entities, network operators, authorities) on the topic of methane emissions
Requirements
  • Completed vocational training and further education as a master/technician (m/f) in the field of heating, sanitation, and climate technology, or a completed degree in a technical field (preferably in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or process engineering)
  • Extensive experience in the field of gas concentration measurement
  • Good knowledge of internal procurement processes for materials and services
  • High affinity for handling large amounts of data
  • Self-motivated and able to identify tasks and improvement opportunities independently
  • Strong analytical thinking, organizational skills, and responsible behavior
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel to all EWE NETZ locations, as well as to attend trade fairs, training sessions, and workshops
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
