We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer - Supplier Management to join our team at QuEST Global. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our suppliers and managing non-conformities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Non-Conformity Management:
- Manage and resolve non-conformities with suppliers in a timely and effective manner.
- Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to initiate corrective actions and implement solutions.
- Manage special releases generated by suppliers.
- Retrofit Organization:
- Organize and coordinate retrofits to be carried out by suppliers.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to and track continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers.
- Demand action plans from suppliers to secure production lines.
- Enforce correction and preventive action plans.
- Assess the effectiveness of supplier corrective and preventive action plans.
- Establish and manage a roadmap for supplier improvement for non-performing suppliers.
- Organize meetings and on-site visits with suppliers as needed.
- Inspection of Low-Critical Parts:
- Ensure the inspection of low-critical parts.
- Review the effectiveness of supplier corrective and preventive action plans.
- Top Issues Dashboard:
- Prepare and monitor supplier quality reviews at the unit level to address key issues.
- Performance Measurements:
- Conduct inspections within assigned target lead times.
- Ensure timely completion of critical inspections.
- Accuracy and correct characterization of deviations and related ERP tasks.
- Continuous Improvement Measures:
- Ensure the establishment and implementation of continuous improvement measures.
- Analyze the decreasing trend of non-conformities detected after incoming inspection during production cycles.
Required Qualifications:
- Completed university degree in Quality Engineering or Engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of supplier qualification standards (ISO, ASME, IRIS, local standards, etc.).
- Fluent in German and English.
- Willingness to travel for business purposes.
- Good technical understanding.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Experience with SAP.
- Experience in handling supplier relationships is advantageous.
