About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Working Student in IT Security to join our team at ABOUT YOU. As a key member of our IT Security Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our online shop and B2B customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to security-related alerts and messages from various monitoring tools
  • Investigate potentially malicious events within the company's infrastructure
  • Improve incident detection and response processes in the company
  • Participate in various projects that the team is involved in
  • Consult colleagues regarding any security-related questions they might have
  • Stay up-to-date with current threats and zero-day vulnerabilities in the cybersecurity space and implement preventative measures within the organization

Requirements

  • Currently studying or have a background in IT Security, Computer Science, IT Administration, or a related field
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Ability to clearly communicate using digital tools (e.g., Slack or MS Teams)
  • Interest in incident response, blue teaming, or digital forensics
  • Understanding of computer networking, firewalls, and VPNs
  • Ability to write scripts and programs to automate tasks in Python or Bash
  • Familiarity with Linux
  • Experience in AWS is a strong plus
