Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join our team at Collins Aerospace, an RTX business. The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating and administering EHS plans, procedures, and providing EHS Program Management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and company requirements.
- Collaborate with Operations and other Site Leadership to integrate EHS performance into site business activities.
- Develop the site EHS Annual Plan in partnership with site leadership to drive the strategy of the EHS function at the site.
- Organize, maintain, and communicate EHS policies to ensure compliance with Legal, RTX, and Collins rules and regulations.
- Support the programs, processes, and procedures to improve the EHS culture for employees and contractors.
- Drive all EHS regulatory reporting requirements and responsible for appropriate procedures, approvals, coordination, and control of EHS Regulations applicable to the site.
- Analyze leading and lagging performance indicators and support the investigation, root cause determination, and development of corrective actions for incidents, both injury and environmental.
- Use the EHS Smart reporting system to maintain EHS information and support the completion of audits & inspections and present findings at to the site EHS Management Committee.
- Coordinate with business partners for EHS concerns regarding facilities and employee practices and perform various tasks associated with Safety, Health, Environment, Compliance, and Management Systems.
- Collaborate with site leadership to ensure the maintenance of the RTX EHS Management System and facilitate the development and completion of activities of various EHS subcommittees.
- Support the development of a positive EHS culture and participate in site and business meetings to discuss EHS performance and improvement plans.
- May develop materials, implement, and deliver various EHS trainings as required by policy or regulation and may be asked to be flexible to take on additional assignments/rotations to support other EHS programs.
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years' prior relevant experience, OR Advanced degree and 5 years' prior relevant experience.
- SIFA Qualification.
- Proficient in speaking English.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing work setting.
- Excellent and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Influencing and negotiating skills.
- Lean/6 Sigma experience.
