Key Responsibilities- Support the development of the propulsion system throughout its lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Specification and support of system validation and verification activities, including the development of test plans and execution of tests.
- Interact with multidisciplinary teams to define, document, and execute validation and verification activities, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
- Manage requirements throughout their lifecycle, ensuring complete verification and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Negotiate with certification authorities to define Means of Compliance, qualification, and certification activities.
- Create certification strategies and compliance reports, ensuring accurate and timely submission to regulatory bodies.
- Generate and manage the Propulsion system V&V plan, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain V&V processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Completed studies in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in the aerospace industry, with a focus on verification and certification.
- Experience in verifying and certifying aircraft propulsion systems, preferably to CS-E, CS/FAR-23, -25, or -27 standards.
- Hands-on experience in defining and executing Propulsion test activities, with a focus on validation and verification.
- Excellent understanding of general design principles and related functional topics, including system requirements and industry standards.
- High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomously.
- Awareness of Part 21J contents and requirements, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
- Experience in capture tools, such as Siemens Polarion or IBM Rational Doors.
- Experience of environmental qualification activities, preferably to DO-160 standards.
- Experience in generating and approving EASA/FAA certification documentation.
- Fluent English language skills are essential, with fluency in German or other languages beneficial.
- Strong motivation and passion to contribute to the development of new technologies and bring them to market.
- Target-oriented, driven work style with a willingness to proactively overcome impediments in everyday activities and interaction with colleagues.
- Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
