Role Overview:
The Project Lead Data Architect will be responsible for delivering a cohesive data solution that aligns with strategic business initiatives. This role involves overseeing architecture governance and providing guidance through both formal and informal interactions with technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive work products for project architecture, transition responsibilities to technical leads, and engage in design and implementation processes while documenting technical debt.
- Collaborate across various teams to create and document architectural deliverables, including solution approach documents, architecture decisions, and application roadmaps.
- Facilitate sessions to gather business requirements and lead architecture design discussions to present viable solutions.
- Accountable for the architecture, design, and implementation of end-to-end solutions for projects or programs, supporting specific business lines or infrastructure domains.
- Act as a subject matter expert in IT systems architecture.
- Manage complex projects that require specialized technical knowledge.
- Make informed decisions regarding complex IT architecture challenges.
- Engage with users to ascertain requirements.
- Ensure successful implementation and monitoring of system enhancements to improve efficiency.
- Establish and communicate a unified goal and direction for the team.
- Provide direction, training, and mentorship to less experienced staff.
- Oversee project schedules and budget considerations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years in Data Architecture
- At least 8 years of experience in leading teams
- 8 years of expertise in Data Integration and Provisioning
- 8 years of experience in Data Warehouse Architecture
- 8 years of Lead Architecture experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience with Big Data Architecture Solutions
- Knowledge of Retirement Solutions Business
- Ability to influence and guide others
