Key Responsibilities- Manage VAT Compliance: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of VAT compliance processes across the organization.
- Intercompany VAT Interactions: Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient VAT reporting and compliance.
- VAT Tax Audits: Collaborate with external auditors to ensure smooth VAT tax audits and minimize risks.
- VAT Efficiency in Supply Chain Management: Work closely with operations and logistics teams to optimize VAT efficiency in supply chain management.
- Proactive VAT Planning: Develop and implement proactive VAT planning strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance.
- Indirect Tax Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential indirect tax risks through close collaboration with finance, sales, legal, and other stakeholders.
- Indirect Tax Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive indirect tax strategy to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
- Center of Excellence: Establish Xylem Water Solutions as a center of excellence for indirect tax issues, providing technical assistance and education to finance teams.
- VAT Documentation and Procedures: Ensure VAT rules and documentation are incorporated into Xylem Water Solutions' procedures.
- External Collaboration: Maintain strong relationships with external tax consultants, public accounting firms, and other professional associates to stay up-to-date on tax developments.
- 4+ Years of Tax/Indirect Tax Experience: Proven experience in tax and indirect tax, preferably in a complex, multinational environment.
- Education and Certifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field, ideally combined with a tax degree or certification.
- Language Skills: Business fluent English, German is a plus, and additional languages are a nice to have.
