Category Manager

Cogs, a leading pharmaceutical services company, is seeking a Category Manager to join their growing indirect team. As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for planning and executing strategic procurement projects, including complex tenders in the area of HR purchasing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement optimal sourcing strategies to ensure uniform procurement processes across the Group.
- Advising specialist departments on sourcing and negotiation strategies.
- Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders within the Group.
- Define negotiation strategies and manage independent negotiations with suppliers.
- Elaborate alternative courses of action and make decisions on awarding contracts.
- Develop cost optimization strategies and implement suitable measures.
- Establish and further develop strategic supplier relationships.
- Carry out supplier evaluations and initiate appropriate measures in close coordination with specialist departments.
Requirements:
- Completed studies and many years of relevant professional experience in national/international strategic purchasing for services and works.
- Confident appearance and skillful negotiation skills.
- Assertive team player.
- Strong communicator and pragmatic personality with a high sense of responsibility and service mentality.
- You enjoy change and have the drive to actively shape your area of responsibility.
