About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT System Administrator to join our dynamic team at Checkmk GmbH. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, including client, server, and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the reliability and performance of our IT systems
  • Manage and maintain our Linux environments, including Debian, Ubuntu, and CentOS
  • Provide second-level support and occasional first-level support to our users
  • Collaborate with our specialist departments and external IT service providers to resolve issues and improve our IT infrastructure
  • Develop and implement new technologies and processes to improve our IT operations
Requirements
  • Proven experience in IT administration, preferably with a focus on Linux
  • Strong knowledge of Linux environments, including Debian, Ubuntu, and CentOS
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in English and German
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
