Position Available: Senior Linux System Administrator

We are seeking a Senior Linux System Engineer (m/f/d) for a permanent, full-time role. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the system administration team within our Cloud Based Platforms division.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the system administrators in the Cloud Based Platforms team.
- Design and enhance our automation and containerization solutions.
- Plan, develop, optimize, and implement tailored system solutions for our clients in business and education sectors.
- Ensure the security and hardening of both centralized and decentralized Linux systems.
- Monitor the services provided to ensure optimal performance.
- Create scripts and playbooks to facilitate automation in the server environment.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives within the education sector.
- Participate in on-call duties as required.
- Completed training as an IT specialist or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Extensive experience in the administration and operation of Linux systems.
- Proficient in process automation using Ansible or similar tools.
- Strong technical acumen, with a focus on service and solution orientation, complemented by a structured and meticulous work ethic.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Fluency in written and spoken German is essential.
Familiarity with the following areas is advantageous:
- Administration of Debian-based Linux distributions in a corporate setting.
- Provisioning of Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS).
- Setup and management of virtual servers on highly available VMware clusters.
- Experience with Ansible, Docker, GIT, and relational databases.
- Monitoring and performance analysis of systems.
- High availability clustering.
- Network and firewall management.
- Directory services administration.
