Financial Sector IT Audit Consultant

We are seeking an IT Risk and Compliance Specialist to join our esteemed team at Mazars GmbH & Co. KG, a prominent player in the financial services industry. In this role, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive risk assessments and security evaluations, engaging in IT system audits, and contributing to various projects tailored for banking and insurance sectors.
Your duties will encompass utilizing advanced software tools for business audits, providing expert advice on IT-related challenges, supporting annual audit processes, and assessing the operational frameworks of financial institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough risk and security analyses.
- Participate in IT system audits and related projects.
- Utilize software tools for effective business auditing.
- Advise clients on IT compliance and risk management.
- Assist in the execution of annual audits.
- Evaluate the organizational structure of financial entities.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in (Business) Informatics, Economics, or Business Engineering, along with a foundational understanding of financial and tax accounting. Experience in auditing or IT auditing is essential, as well as familiarity with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL and COBIT. Proficiency in both German and English is required, complemented by a service-oriented mindset, exceptional teamwork and communication abilities, and a readiness to travel.
