Sales Associate

**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our Plant Department team at toom. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and driving sales growth in our plant department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, answering questions and making recommendations to customers.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including plant care, varieties, and pricing.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an attractive and engaging shopping environment.
- Contribute to sales growth by identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and support store initiatives.
Requirements:
- Previous retail experience, preferably in a sales or customer-facing role.
- Knowledge of plants, gardening, or a related field is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
