Your Role
We are seeking a Senior Backend Solutions Architect (m/f/d) to guide a team of proficient back-end developers, significantly influencing our business strategy. You will have the opportunity to lead a team in addressing complex challenges and enhancing the customer experience. In this pivotal position, you will oversee the development and maintenance of essential components of our back-end infrastructure, which serves as the foundation of the SimScale platform. Your additional responsibilities will encompass cloud cost management, software architecture, technical roadmapping, operations, and stakeholder engagement. If you are passionate about team leadership, possess strong technical expertise, and are eager to devise solutions for challenging issues, this role is tailored for you.
Expectations- A minimum of 10 years of experience in software development.
- At least 3 years of experience in leading software development teams, either in a formal or technical capacity.
- A degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in the Java or Go ecosystems.
- Experience in developing software-as-a-service applications, preferably on public cloud platforms.
- A commitment to fostering a culture of technical ownership, effectively balancing operations, new developments, and continuous improvement of legacy code within your team's components.
- Despite your management experience, you remain a hands-on software developer, maintaining a passion for the craft.
