Position Overview:
The role involves the strategic implementation of procurement objectives across various material categories, including passive and active electronic components, wiring, and electronic modules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulating and executing procurement strategies tailored to specific material fields.
- Identifying and analyzing potential cost-saving opportunities and executing necessary actions to achieve them.
- Leading negotiations for pricing and contracts independently, ensuring agreements are finalized effectively.
- Performing shadow calculations to support decision-making processes.
- Enhancing the supplier portfolio through proactive development based on qualitative, commercial, and technical criteria.
- Continuously refining procurement pricing to optimize costs.
- Serving as the primary contact for any logistical or quality-related inquiries.
- Engaging in negotiations with assemblers and overseeing projects until they are ready for mass production.
- Collaborating with external development service providers during negotiations.
- Conducting contract negotiations with new suppliers to expand the supplier base.
- Monitoring the procurement landscape for serial products and generating internal market intelligence reports.
- Assisting the development team throughout the product creation process by providing insights on component and supplier selection.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical training, complemented by further education as a Technician/Master in Electrical Engineering, along with strong business acumen or commercial training with a solid technical understanding of electronic components.
- Several years of relevant experience in the field.
- Proficiency in both German and English.
- Experience in the procurement of electronic components, including modules and other related items, as well as supplier assessment and selection.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to persuade effectively.
- A keen awareness of quality, deadlines, and cost management.
- A self-motivated and responsible work ethic.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
