KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA is on the lookout for a skilled agronomist to fill the role of Crop Management Expert (m/f/d) within our esteemed International AgroService division, focusing on the sugarbeet sector.

The International AgroService serves as the foundational scientific support for agronomic consulting in sugarbeet, providing vital expertise for both research initiatives and commercial endeavors. Our KWS traits significantly enhance the success of sugarbeet producers globally. Personalized and thorough guidance, considering the entire crop rotation, is paramount in this field. As a Crop Management Expert (m/f/d), you will be tasked with formulating comprehensive crop management strategies tailored for sugarbeet producers, elevating our localized advisory services to new heights. This role is crucial in ensuring that sugarbeet cultivation can adapt to future challenges.

Your Responsibilities - Where Challenge Meets Accountability:

  • Develop comprehensive crop management strategies that incorporate stewardship and management concepts for KWS sugar beet traits and products (e.g., CR+, CONVISO SMART, Virus Yellows Protect).
  • Evaluate customer data at various levels to gain insights into current crop management practices and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Transform general cultivation approaches into customized strategies that ensure optimal long-term stewardship and performance.
  • Stay informed on regulatory aspects concerning herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides in specific markets, and lead the creation of a digital system for managing this information.
  • Facilitate the integration of crop management strategies into KWS's digital tools.
  • Champion the vision of the International AgroService to deliver top-tier crop management advice.

Your Profile - Expertise Meets Character:

  • Degree in agricultural sciences or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience, preferably in agricultural consulting and crop protection, with a strong enthusiasm for sugarbeet.
  • Familiarity with digital decision-support tools for arable farming.
  • Detail-oriented and independent work ethic.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in international teams.
  • Able to navigate complex organizational structures and work effectively in both office and field settings.
  • Strong project management capabilities across diverse regions and cultures, with an openness to innovation.
  • High degree of personal accountability, diligence, and resilience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Professional proficiency in English, with additional language skills considered an asset.
  • Willingness to travel frequently on an international basis.
  • Valid class B driver's license.
