Join Our Research Team
At Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH, we are committed to addressing the significant challenges facing society today. As part of the Helmholtz Association, our mission is to explore innovative solutions for a digitized society, a sustainable energy framework, and an efficient use of resources.
About the Institute
The Institute of Bio- and Geosciences – Agrosphere (IBG-3) is dedicated to enhancing our comprehension of biogeochemical and hydrological interactions within terrestrial ecosystems. Our research delves into the environmental factors influencing the cycling of essential elements, the dynamics of nutrient exchange, and the interactions within the soil-plant-atmosphere continuum.
Research Focus
We employ a multidisciplinary approach that integrates experimental methods, advanced modeling techniques, and cutting-edge observational technologies. This comprehensive strategy enables us to connect theoretical models with practical processes and management practices. Our findings play a crucial role in promoting sustainable soil and water utilization while assessing the impacts of climate change and land use on terrestrial ecosystems.
We are excited to offer a PhD Position focused on Biogeochemical Soil and Rhizosphere Modeling.
