Business Unit Controller Automotive - A Strategic Role

Stabilus GmbH, a leading provider of motion-control solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Business Unit Controller Automotive to join our team in Koblenz, Germany.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the entire budget and forecasting process for the Business Unit Automotive Gassprings
  • Monitor profitability and working capital of the Business Unit Automotive Gassprings on a permanent basis
  • Act as a management partner for the global BU leader
  • Ensure transparent analysis to identify potential and derive measures
  • Control all global projects from a financial perspective, including the implementation of action plans and monitoring and evaluating their execution
  • Prepare economic evaluations for investments and make-or-buy decisions
  • Participate intensively in all strategic decisions for the further development of the production footprint and the development of new markets, including different regional and country strategies
  • Challenge existing company structures and develop new, creative solution approaches and ideas
Requirements:
  • Completed university degree in finance, e.g. controlling, accounting and finance management, economics, mathematics, finance, accounting and tax or equivalent
  • Several years of international experience in all areas of controlling (procurement, sales, operations and project controlling)
  • Extensive knowledge of planning and budgeting, working capital management and conducting Soll-Ist comparisons
  • Sound knowledge of economic calculations, project and product calculations, as well as project processing with success reports including realization risks
  • Sensitivity for business weaknesses in the participating companies
  • Advanced SAP knowledge in the FI, CO modules and ideally knowledge of Cognos Controller
  • Analytical potential, affinity for numbers and fulfillment of a high quality standard
  • High stress tolerance with pronounced self-motivation
  • Well-developed communication skills and good presentation skills
  • Natural authority and assertiveness with demanding conversation partners within and outside Stabilus
  • Fluent English and German language skills
  • Willingness to travel
