Join Our Team as a Business Controller for Renewable Energy

We are Uniper, a leading international energy company, and we are looking for a highly skilled Business Controller to join our Renewables Team in Düsseldorf. As a Business Controller, you will play a key role in driving performance and ensuring the proper financing of our renewable energy subsidiaries.

Your Responsibilities
  • Act as a business partner to our renewables team in seven European markets, providing commercial business support to drive performance.
  • Be the key interface to the business, ensuring proper financing of renewables subsidiaries.
  • Implement and maintain liquidity planning and monitoring for all legal entities.
  • Support the development of balance sheet structures and dividend policies for renewables entities in development, construction, and operation.
  • Provide analysis on the effects of environmental changes on performance, assess threats and weaknesses, and initiate countermeasures.
  • Support the continuous improvement of reporting processes and tools, particularly based on Microsoft Power Products.
  • Maintain and update key Microsoft PowerBI reports for the Renewables business.
  • Develop and enhance the interface to other finance functions.
Your Profile
  • Education in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • High-level controlling expertise and/or substantial understanding of the Renewables business/Energy business.
  • Substantial understanding and/or experience in financing legal entities.
  • Knowledge of relevant IT systems (e.g., SAP, BI-Tools, Tagetik).
  • Experience and extended know-how with Microsoft Power Products (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Strong analytical mindset and willingness to drive performance and change.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present data in a clear and easily understandable way.
  • Proactiveness and ability to cooperate in a cross-functional environment, high personal responsibility, and tolerance to stress.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, knowledge of additional languages would be an advantage.
