Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electronic Warfare Systems Engineer to join our team at Connecting Experts. As an EW Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic countermeasures, jamming systems, and radar warning receivers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electronic warfare technologies, including radar systems, jammers, and electronic countermeasures.
- Develop system architectures that integrate different electronic components to accomplish desired operational capabilities.
- Produce thorough documentation, schematics, and system requirements to aid in the design and development process.
- Integrate EW systems with current platforms to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
- Perform system-level testing, including field and lab testing, to confirm the efficiency and operation of EW systems.
- Analyze test data and provide recommendations for enhancing and optimizing the system.
- Conduct threat analysis to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop defenses against those threats.
- Perform electromagnetic spectrum analysis to maximize EW system performance across a range of operational contexts.
- Provide technical expertise in electromagnetic compatibility, RF design, and signal processing.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems experts to ensure the smooth integration of EW systems into larger defense platforms.
- Work with defense contractors and military personnel to understand operational requirements and ensure EW systems meet mission requirements.
- Provide technical assistance and training to maintenance staff and military users.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in electronic warfare technology and integrate new methods and tools into system designs.
- Participate in research and development initiatives to advance electronic warfare system technology.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, electronics, computer engineering, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in RF engineering, electronic warfare systems engineering, or a related field.
- Expertise in the design and development of electronic warfare systems, including radar systems, jammers, and electronic countermeasures.
- Knowledge of signal processing and electromagnetic spectrum management.
- Expertise in radio frequency design, including antenna, receiver, and transmitter design.
- Understanding of the fundamentals of electronic warfare, including radar signal processing, deception, and jamming.
- Proven track record in system integration and testing, including SIL and HIL software and hardware testing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders who are not technically inclined.
- Software tool experience with programs like LabVIEW, MATLAB, or similar is desirable.
