Research Assistant Position at Weierstraß-Institut für Angewandte Analysis und Stochastik

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant to join our team at the Weierstraß-Institut für Angewandte Analysis und Stochastik. The successful candidate will be part of our Research Group "Stochastische Algorithmen und Nichtparametrische Statistik" and will work on various projects related to stochastic analysis and mathematical finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in stochastic analysis and mathematical finance
  • Develop and implement numerical methods for solving stochastic optimal control problems and backward stochastic differential equations
  • Collaborate with other researchers in the group to advance the state-of-the-art in stochastic analysis and mathematical finance
  • Present research results at international conferences and workshops

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in mathematics or a related field
  • Strong background in stochastic analysis and mathematical finance
  • Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python or MATLAB
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
